Dragon Ball Super’ English Confirmed By Toonami; Series’ German and English Broadcast Set For 2016

The "Dragon Ball Super" English broadcast has been confirmed by Toonami.
ComicBook.com reported that Toonami has announced their plans to air "Dragon Ball Super" English in Asia and Southeast Asia. It is expected to launch on the network in mid-2016.
The "Dragon Ball Super" English broadcast will be an exclusive first-run premiere on Toonami in Southeast Asiaand India. This will also be its first English-language world airing.
"This announcement is huge for fanboys and girls in Asia," Mark Eyers, Chief Content Officer for Turner's Kids Networks in Asia Pacific said in a press release. "'Dragon Ball' is undoubtedly the original and world's biggest animeexport, and is a cornerstone of our programming on Toonami."
Eyers also explained that Toonami has previously aired episodes of "Dragon Ball Z" and "Dragon Ball Z Kai" ever since the channel launched in 2012.
"To premiere 'Dragon Ball Super' demonstrates the channel's continued commitment to securing must-have and must-see content, first on Toonami," he added.
"Dragon Ball Super" is the first all-new TV series for the franchise after 20 years. It is set after the events of Goku's battle with Majin Buu.
Series creator Akira Toriyama is overseeing the show. It is produced with FujiTelevision.
Meanwhile, Fandom Post has reported that "Dragon Ball Super" will be aired in Germany sometime next year. According to a German report, more details on the series' broadcast in the country will be revealed soon.
Apparently, the article mostly talked about license partner opportunities. Fandom Post speculated that with the German broadcast of the series, there may be hope for a "Dragon Ball Super" English broadcast in North America.
The "Dragon Ball Super" cast includes Masako Nozawa, Ryo Horikawa, Hiromi Tsuru, Takeshi Kusao, Mayumi Tanaka, Masaharu Satou, Toshio Furukawa, Naoko Watanabe, Yuko Minaguchi, Unshou Ishizuka, Kozo Shioya, Kouichi Yamadera and Masazaku Morita.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 1 premiered in Japan last Jul. 5. The next installment of the series, episode 22, will be aired on Dec. 6.
